Types of Counselling offered

Psychodynamic Counselling guided by Object Relations and Self Psychology therapies, which aim to bring healing within and on an interpersonal level
Other counseling orientations that may be applied:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Humanistic and Existential Therapies
- Interpersonal and Experiential Therapies

Counselling Objectives

Provide a safe empathic environment that facilitates exploration
Relieve painful symptoms
Gently guide clients in finding ways to resolve personal issues and interpersonal concerns
Provide therapeutic responses/strategies to develop and enhance one’s sense of self worth and build a stronger and more integrated sense of self.
To monitor client’s steps to recovery and provide guidance for reconnection with their internal and external world in a healthy, holistic, and harmonious fashion
Provide spiritual counsel, from a Christian perspective, if requested, and as appropriate, to engender spiritual healing, health, and vitality

Counselling Setting

Comfortable and secure home office in a quiet, safe neighbourhood
Plenty of parking available

Length of Appointments

Generally each session is 50 minutes in length
Extended sessions may be offered, up to 90 minutes, with added fee.

Counselling Fees

Generally $100 per hour
Fees may be negotiable in certain cases.
