About Tyler Kealey or hover here to read Tyler Kealey is a versatile singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, With influences like Elton John and Supertramp, his energy, talent, and story-telling ability have made him a favourite within the Ottawa music scene.

In addition to performing for a loyal fan base as part of Ottawa's popular Duelling Pianos show, Tyler's original music is another step forward, crafting meaningful and emotional songs while still injecting energy into every performance.

A few performance highlights include a six city tour of China, opening for Metric at Ottawa Bluesfest (2011), and playing at the Cornwall Lift-off Festival (2012). More recently Tyler has played shows atthe Black Sheep Inn (Wakefield), the Horseshoe Tavern (Toronto), the Neat Cafe (Burnstown), and opened a sold out show for the Barstool Prophets in Ottawa.

His album, And Somehow I Fell Upon This Place, is a journey from the dark to the light, a story dipping into emotion and intensity that's both haunting and hopeful. Recorded at Operation Northwoods with renowned producer Darryl Neudorf, the songs range from gritty to smooth and incorporate pop piano with an indie rock sound.

Juno Award winner Kellylee Evans continues to evolve her distinctive vocal sound, which seamlessly fuses jazz and her own unique style of “soul pop”.

Evans achieved a 2nd place win at the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition in 2004. She received Juno and Gemini Award nominations for her first two albums, Fight or Flight and The Good Girl and won 2011 Juno Award for Vocal Jazz Album of the year for Nina, a beautiful tribute to Nina Simone, one of jazz's greatest vocalists and pianists.

Now with six albums, Evans is still shaking it up on Come On, about love and life after two nearly career-ending accidents: a freak lightning strike in her Ottawa home and a concussion suffered during a fall.

Maple Hill – Thursday June 28, 2018

Maple Hill. This award winning group was co-founded by Pat Moore (bass and vocals) and Garry Greenland (guitar & vocals), with Kevin Golka on mandolin and vocals, and Sean Lundy on banjo. Pat Moore and Vinyl Frontier performed at the Manotick United Church in 2017.

Their album "Back to You" soared up the bluegrass charts.

Pat Moore is an engaging performer, blending roots and country music. She writes songs, performs solo and with the band Maple Hill Bluegrass. You may remember Pat and her band Vinyl Frontier with Pat McLaughlin, Ann Downey, Al Bragg, and Alistair Dennett, performing at the Manotick United Church in 2017.

Ian Tamblyn – Thursday September 13, 2018

Ian Tamblyn is an award-winning singer/songwriter, musician, and producer. He has been a working musician since 1972, writing hundreds of songs, writing fourteen plays and over one hundred theatre soundtracks.

Self-titled album, Ian Tamblyn won a Juno Award in 1976. When Will I See You Again, which won a Japanese Folk critics Award in 1980. Magnetic North was nominated for a Juno in the pop instrumental category in 1990. In 2007, Superior: Spirit And Light was nominated in the Best Artist category by the Canadian Folk Music Awards. In 2010 Gyre won English Singer-Songwriter of the Year from the Canadian Folk Music Awards. He has been awarded the Estelle Klein and Helen Verger Awards for his contributions to Canadian folk music

Ian was made a fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in 2012 for his guiding and creative work in the Canadian Arctic. He has an honourary doctorate from Lakehead University, and a Distinguished Alumni Award from Trent University.

Keith Glass Band "The Easy Way" – Thursday October 4, 2018

Keith Glass is a singer/songwriter, instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, bass), and music producer. CD Release party. Keith was a founding member of Prairie Oyster, a group which has received multiple Juno and CCMA awards, is in the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, and earned band members SOCAN lifetime achievement awards.

More about Keith Glass or hover here to read Keith Glass is a singer/songwriter, instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, bass), music producer, and a founding member of Prairie Oyster, a group which has received multiple Juno and CCMA awards. Prairie Oyster toured in Canada, the U.S. and Europe for almost four decades. In 2008, Prairie Oyster was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame. Keith and his band mates received a SOCAN lifetime achievement award.

Keith was the guitarist in both the stage and screen productions of “Hank Williams: the Show He Never Gave” starring Sneezy Waters, aka Peter Hodgson.

The most recent solo album "Bad Dog", shows that Glass is in his songwriting prime, offering listeners beautiful ballads and rich storytelling.

Keith Glass performed at the Manotick summer concerts in 2014 with an all-star band "The Bad Dogs", and in a special 2017 concert "Songs for the Longest Night" with Juno award winning singer-songwriter Lynn Miles.

Juno and Canadian Folk Music award winner Lynn Miles presents a concert of original music on the theme of a Canadian winter. The songs are filled with sweetness, sadness, humour, bitter cold and stark beauty. Lynn, one of Canada's finest and most respected singer/songwriters, is accompanied by long-time award-winning band mate Keith Glass on guitar and a string quartet.

More about Lynn Miles or hover here to read Lynn Miles is one of Canada's most accomplished singer/songwriters with ten albums to her credit including the stark Unravel, winning Miles a 2003 Juno for Roots & Traditional solo album of the year, and was nominated again in 2006 and 2011. Love Sweet Love earning her multiple Canadian Folk Music awards inclulding Best English Songwriter and Best Contemporary Singer.

Her album Slightly Haunted, was a Billboard magazine Top 10 pick for the year, while Unravel was praised by All Music Guide as "sounding as if it's been produced by Daniel Lanois in an Appalichian town" and "a diamond in the rough".

Miles recorded a double album of songs, entitled Black Flowers Vol. 1 & 2. Both new and old songs accompanyed her voice with either solo acoustic guitar or piano. This sparse presentation crystallizes the quality of Lynn's songwriting - highlighting the melody and lyrics in a way that only great songs can be presented. Lynn's album Fall for Beauty was also nominated for a Juno Award in 2010. Her 2015 album Winter has stirring songs about winter and the Christmas season.
